Treynor wrestling team mopped the floor in all three duals.

By Katie Houser

The boys wrestling team took the win in all three duals at the meet on Tuesday Dec. 4. The meet was at Treynor High School against Kemper Catholic, Shenandoah, and Griswold.

“This meet I went 1-2 individually and had some of the best competition I’ll see all season,we started off great with a win against Kemper Catholic, who we lost to last year.” said Senior Harley Carberry.

This was improvement from last year against Kemper Catholic for Carberry, individually and as a team.

“As a team we were short handed due to injuries and illnesses but we had some underclassmen who were willing to step up and scrap for three duel wins,” said Mitchell Lutz.

Carberry and Lutz spoke highly of the younger classmen for helping out at the varsity meet and wrestling a little out of their comfort zone.

“Personally I could work on being more aggressive with my shots and as a team the main thing we need to work on is just getting healthy,” said Lutz.

You can catch the wrestling team again on Saturday Dec. 8 at Lenox High School.
