Treynor trounces MVAOCOU

The Treynor Cardinals traveled to MVAOCOU to take on the Rams in a one-sided contest. The Cardinals defeated the Rams 63-0.

On the first play of the game, Treynor’s quarterback, Jake Fisher, rushed for a 71 yard touchdown. Fisher led the Cardinals going 7/9 with 185 passing yards and 103 rushing yards for 2 TD. Chase Reber and Jack Tiarks also contributed with both having a touchdown. On the defensive side, Ben Boese led the Cardinals with 6.5 tackles. Blake Sadr (5.5 tackles), Will Halverson (5.0 tackles), Kristian Martens (4.5 tackles), Luke Mieska (4.5 tackles), and Chase Reber (4.5 tackles) also heavily contributed on the defensive side. The Redshirts, Treynor’s defense, also had a fumble recovery and multiple big tackles. Looking at the special teams side of the game, Luke Mieska, the Cardinals’ kicker, had 7 kickoffs for a total of 389 total yards and 2 touchbacks. Mieska also knocked in a 31 yard field goal attempt. Sid Schaaf, the speedy Cardinal punt returner, took one to the house for a 52 yard punt return TD.
