Pink Out Night: Treynor vs. Tri-Center

Quinn Navara, Sports Journalist

A rivalry that has been going on for years. The Tri-Center Trojans traveled down to Treynor to play the Cardinals in a Pink Out/Cancer Awareness game. Throughout the night, there were $15,000 that was donated to the Hope Lodge. Both schools provided large crowds with endless yelling going on throughout the game.

Sophomore standout, Kailey Rochholz, led the Cardinals with 15 kills, while fellow sophomore, Maddie Lewis, added 8 kills on the night. Stella Umphreys led the Cardinals in digs with 20, with Maddie Lewis, Emma Flathers, and Keelea Navara adding 11 or more. The Cardinals ended up winning 3-2 in a five set thriller. This win made the Cardinals the co-WIC regular season champions.
