Cardinals Dominate Mustangs for a Homecoming Win

The Cardinals put on quite the performance Friday night with a dominant 49-20 win over the Shenandoah Mustangs. The Cardinals came into homecoming night 2-0, and their defense only allowing 26 points over the past 2 weeks. 

Jack Tiarks, a Division 1 recruit, ended the night with 160 rushing yards on 8 carries for 3 touchdowns. Jacob Fisher, the Cardinals star quarterback, also had 3 rushing touchdowns on 15 carries for 182 yards. The Cardinal defense didn’t disappoint by only allowing the Mustangs to 109 rushing yards. 

According to close sources, Scott Strohmeier, Iowa Western’s head football coach, was in attendance watching some of the Cardinals. Keep an eye out for him on the sidelines when the Cardinals take on the Underwood Eagles on October 4th.
