On Monday, May 13, sophomore Sierra Anderson, freshmen Maddie Lewis, Andi Piittmann, and Sara Hudgell traveled to Red Oak to compete in the regional golf competition.

Lewis had a final score of 104 which placed her sixth and she will be continuing her road to state for districts at Mapleton.

Lewis obviously has talent, but she still believes she can work on improving her drives and her in between shots when she’s not on the green.

“My goals for the rest of the season is to improve my score and hopefully make it to state,” Lewis said.

For Allison Black, Anderson, Pittmann, and Hudgell, this is the end of their season.  These girls are all very young and have a lot of potential for improvement throughout their high school careers.

“I enjoyed golfing this year because it opened my eyes to something I have never done and never would have done if I wasn’t given the chance,” said Black  “I’m excited to come back next year and hopefully be better.”

Congratulations to Maddie and go support her on Monday, May 20, at Willow Vale Golf Course in Mapleton!
